Trama
A Natale Lucio Ridolfi, assieme a sua moglie e a una coppia di amici va in vacanza al Sestrière. Per Lucio l’incontro con una bella e misteriosa straniera è causa di una serie di strane avventure che lo coinvolgono suo malgrado in un intricato complotto internazionale. Durante una gita sulla neve viene colpito e stordito e quando poi rinviene si ritrova su un aereo diretto al Cairo con un passaporto intestato a un cittadino straniero e con a fianco una donna che afferma di essere sua moglie. Vane risultano le sue rimostranze presso le autorità locali perché il rapimento e il trasferimento erano stati minuziosamente predisposti dalla FBI. Non avendo altra scelta, Lucio finisce per collaborare con gli agenti americani allo scopo di sventare un colossale piano destinato a far crollare l’economia occidentale attraverso l’immissione di dollari contraffatti. Di avventura in avventura, e sia pure contro voglia, Lucio riesce a portare a compimento la missione. Condotto nuovamente al Sestrière e rientrato nella vita normale, Lucio stesso stenterà a credere alla realtà degli straordinari avvenimenti che ha vissuto così rapidamente.
