Trama
Gordon Fleming, proprietario della Hazmat Elimination Co., deve vincere a tutti i costi l’appalto per la rimozione dell’amianto dal ‘Danvers State Mental Hospital’, chiuso ormai da 15 anni ed ora prossimo alla ristrutturazione. Per siglare l’accordo Gordon promette a Bill Griggs, il tecnico responsabile, che la sua ditta ultimerà i lavori in una sola settimana, ignorando la stima di circa 20 giorni fatta dal caposquadra Phil. Vinto l’appalto la squadra – composta anche dal mancato avvocato Mike, dall’ansioso Hank e da Jeff – si mette al lavoro. Ma con il passare dei giorni l’alea di mistero che circonda l’edificio comincia a schiacciare sempre più gli operai.
