Trama
Tommy e Annika, recatisi nella casetta di Pippi Calzelunghe per giocare con lei, non trovandola pensano di preparare dei dolci, ma provocano quasi un incendio, prontamente spento dalla sopravvenuta simpatica strega, Pippi. I due fratellini, tornati a casa loro in ritardo, vengono rimproverati; il giorno dopo decidono di andarsene in giro, senza il permesso dei genitori. La mamma si tranquillizza quando Pippi accetta di seguirli. In groppa a un cavallo a pois, i tre bambini viaggiano godendosi le bellezze della natura. Poi, Pippi si serve della “colla che non si scolla” per ballare sulle pareti e sul soffitto. Vi sono, inoltre, avventure belle ed emozionanti; in ogni circostanza, Pippi sorveglia e improvvisa mezzi di locomozione fantastici: carri, treni, botti-naviglio. Ma Annika ha sempre paura e fame; il fratello Tommy sente a sua volta nostalgia di casa. Le avventure non hanno fatto dimenticare la tavola imbandita, i canditi e tiepidi lettini, il bacio della buonanotte; anzi ne hanno moltiplicata la necessità. Ritrovato il cavallo di Pippi, vengono da questa riportati a casa tra le braccia dei genitori. Soltanto Pippi, sola con la sua sconfitta fantasia, non si ferma e riparte a cavallo di una vecchia scopa.
