Trama
Laura Baxter soffre di una rarissima malattia del sonno, costretta da un incidente subito da bambina a vivere la maggior parte della sua vita nella stanza di un ospedale. La donna alterna rari e brevi momenti di veglia a lunghi e frequenti periodi di sonno e in questo contesto si inseriscono il giovane studente di arte Danny Sloan, che si innamora di lei, e il temibile ed inquietante dottor Byron Volpe, esperto di magnetismo che ha invece dei misteriosi piani sulla giovane. A nulla servirà aiutarla a fuggire dall’ospedale.
