Trama
Roger Ash, Richard Gates Jr. e Truck Cross sono tre ragazzi profondamente diversi che si trovano a dover dividere la stessa stanza durante i quattro anni di corso all’Accademia Navale. Con il tempo diventano amici, anche se Roger e Truck si contendono i favori della stessa ragazza, Patricia. Truck, però, nasconde un segreto. Per entrare in accademia ha dovuto falsificare i suoi documenti di identità e il suo cognome, in quanto figlio di un ufficiale che, vittima di un errore giudiziario, è stato espulso dalla Marina Americana. Il capitano Skinny Dawes, loro superiore, tenta in ogni modo di instillare nell’animo dei cadetti il senso del dovere e la volontà di emergere. Durante una sua lezione, però, Truck, deciso a difendere la reputazione di suo padre, usato come esempio negativo, proclama ad alta voce la sua vera identità.
