Trama
Un ricco magnate dell’industria americana giunge in Italia per lanciare ed imporre una nuova bevanda, il “Chin-Chinola”. Durante un viaggio in automobile, un incidente imprevisto lo costringe a fermarsi in un ridente paesetto di montagna, lontano dai soliti itinerari turistici, nel quale la vita è ancora improntata a patriarcale semplicità. L’industriale trova ospitalità nella locanda gestita da una giovane e simpatica donna, della quale egli s’innamora perdutamente. L’industriale è attorniato da una corte di pseudo-collaboratori, segretari e segretarie, che lo sfruttano e, mentre egli è tutto preso dall’amore per la bella locandiera, si danno da fare per trasformare tutt’intorno il paese e il paesaggio con l’impianto d’orribili cartelli e coi più moderni ritrovati pubblicitari.
