Trama
Yor, giovanottone biondo e muscoloso, vive nell’apparente età della pietra. In realtà (ma lo sapremo dopo la metà del film) è un sopravvissuto a una catastrofe atomica. Porta al collo uno strano medaglione. Gli verrà rivelato da Rea, che egli incontrerà tra le sue avventure di viaggio e della quale si innamorerà, che egli proviene da una lontana isola con un grande castello misterioso… Non resta dunque che cercare il luogo delle sue radici. Yor s’era già imbattuto in pericolosi nemici: gli uomini blu. Li aveva messi in fuga, salvando la giovane Ka-laa, concupita del capo, brutto come uno scimmione. Deve poi scontrarsi con gli uomini del fuoco. Fatto prigioniero, saprà liberarsi anche da loro. È nel regno dei pigmei che incontra Rea, la quale però muore in un assalto degli “scimmioni”, rivelandogli, appunto la sua origine e lasciandolo all’amore di Ka-laa. I due, accompagnati dal fedele Pag servitore di Ka-laa, raggiungono fortunosamente l’isola nella quale impera “il Supremo”, che tiene schiavi i sopravvissuti alla catastrofe atomica dalla quale s’era salvato anche Yor. Egli è l’incarnazione del male: ma ora è arrivato Yor e l’impero del cattivo vacilla.
