Trama
Un giovane, nel recarsi a casa della fidanzata, si trova a bloccare un borsaiolo inseguito da alcuni passanti. Egli è incaricato di trattenere il ladro mentre gli altri vanno in cerca delle guardie. Ma dopo lunga attesa il giovane decide di accompagnare lui stesso il ladro in Questura. Dinnanzi al Commissario, però, egli ha un alterco con il suo prigioniero e finisce con lui in guardina. Intanto la fidanzata, preoccupata per il ritardo, corre alla ricerca del giovane e lo trova mentre, riuscito ad evadere per merito del borsaiolo, si allontana dal carcere. La ragazza, credendoli amici, li invita ambedue a pranzo. Nel bel mezzo del simposio, però, sopraggiunge lo zio della fidanzata che, avendo partecipato all’inseguimento del ladro nella mattinata, lo riconosce subito e vuole denunciarlo. Tutto però si sistema e il borsaiolo, pentito e commosso, restituisce agli invitati tutto ciò che aveva trafugato durante il pranzo.
