Trama
Sid Sorokin è un giovane intraprendente e molto sicuro di sé. Quando viene promosso e nominato direttore della fabbrica di pigiami del magnate Hasler, trova un’atmosfera piuttosto tesa. Gli operai sono in fermento perché hanno chiesto ripetutamente un aumento di salario che il proprietario continua a rifiutare. Sid una mattina rimprovera duramente un meccanico e la commissione sindacale interna decide di protestare e manda la giovane operaia Babe Williams a trattare con lui.
