Trama
Nel Marocco francese viene costruita una ferrovia allo scopo di congiungere il Mediterraneo con Dakar. Alla costruzione è interessato un califfo che ha chiesto ed ottenuto la collaborazione e l’aiuto delle truppe francesi. I lavori procedono lentamente e spesso vengono interrotti a causa delle incursioni di alcuni ribelli del Riff guidati da El Cadir. Il colonnello francese fa ogni sforzo per catturarlo; ma è tutto inutile. Nel frattempo, un’artista francese, che lavora nel teatro locale, viene catturata da El Cadir e scopre che altri non è che il pianista del teatro stesso, un americano che avendo sposato la causa dei ribelli, conduce una doppia vita. La lotta fra francesi e ribelli continua ed El Cadir sta per essere catturato ma riesce a sfuggire agli inseguitori e si presenta al colonnello per dimostrargli che il califfo è un traditore e che la costruzione della ferrovia, contraria agli interessi francesi, è sovvenzionata dai tedeschi. Gli crederà?
