Trama
Jeff Talley, poliziotto del dipartimento di Los Angeles esperto di mediazioni con i criminali nelle situazioni di crisi con gli ostaggi, dopo aver fallito una missione in cui hanno perso la vita una donna e un bambino, decide di trasferirsi nel sobborgo di Bristo Camino, prendendo il comando della locale stazione di polizia. La forte delusione e i sensi di colpa lo portano anche ad allontanarsi da sua moglie e sua figlia. Quando tre rapinatori, dopo un colpo finito male, si rifugiano in una casa prendendo in ostaggio una famiglia, Jeff è costretto a scacciare i fantasmi del passato e a rimettersi in gioco.
