Trama
Un ex proprietario di scuderie da corsa, ridotto in miseria, vive appartato insieme alle due sue figliole. Capitato nel campo di corse durante un’asta di cavalli, spintovi dalla figlia maggiore, compera una cavalla che fu un tempo della sua scuderia, dando fondo alle sue riserve. Dopo qualche tempo la cavalla dà alla luce un puledrino puro sangue che diviene il compagno di giuoco della sua figlia minore. Il puledro promette molto bene e su di esso si fondano le speranze del vecchio padre che si dedica amorevolmente al suo allevamento. Il cavallo infatti è il favorito del prossimo Gran Premio ma per i loschi traffici di un commerciante l’allenatore è costretto a venderlo alla vigilia della corsa vedendo crollare tutte le sue speranze di guadagno. Ma un giovane dottore, innamorato della figlia maggiore dell’allevatore, è ben lieto di intervenire e la vicenda si conclude felicemente.
