Trama
Tre amici adolescenti, Paolo, Simone e Sibilla si trovano in villeggiatura in campagna, nei pressi di un grande parco, cintato da un muro e sorvegliato da agenti armati, che fanno amicizia con un ragazzo del luogo, Toni. Penetrano nella sede dell’istituto Klon, un laboratorio misterioso, diretto dal professore Zigote, il quale ufficialmente si occupa solo della riproduzione per clonazione di piante e rane, in realtà ha già ottenuto in segreto la riproduzione di uomini, che possono essere ripetuti in milioni di esemplari identici. A questa sensazionale scoperta sono interessati alcuni affaristi, capeggiati dal commendatore Colomba, che si recano in elicottero a trattare con Zigote, senza però poter concludere l’acquisto di 600 milioni di clonati, che dovrebbero consumare i prodotti inquinati del mondo di oggi: Zigote pretende d’essere il manager dell’affare. Mentre i ragazzi sono fatti prigionieri, e Zigote pensa di clonarli, entrano nell’istituto tre ladri, inviati da Colomba, i quali, scoperti, si nascondono fra “i surgelati”, individui pronti per la clonazione. I ragazzi, liberatisi, si interessano ai due robot, specie Simone che si fa spiegare da Stravinskij il codice di Erasmo, riuscendo così a farsi ubbidire da questo. Intanto, fra fughe e catture alternate, i ladri rubano il “cervello” della clonazione, ma Erasmo glielo sottrae. Zigote, frattanto, spiega ai ragazzi che egli lavora per la felicità dell’umanità: infatti, nel futuro, grazie alla clonazione, gli uomini ubbidiranno per convinzione, guardando la televisione.
