Trama
Il giovane Toni lascia la famiglia e la fidanzata per farsi sacerdote ed andare in una missione in Brasile. Qui trova una realtà drammatica: nonostante esista una riforma agraria che assegna le terre ai contadini, i latifondisti si rifiutano di consegnarle, minacciando la gente. La famiglia Barbosa, che prende possesso della loro terra viene sterminata dai poliziotti corrotti al soldo di un grande proprietario. Unico superstite è un bambino, Sandino, che Toni protegge mandandolo in una missione lontana, sapendo che se il piccolo testimoniasse al processo, rischierebbe la vita. Gli imputati vengono assolti, padre Toni, considerato scomodo, sarà attirato in un agguato e ucciso.
