Trama
L’ex colonnello Jefferson, per appropriarsi dell’oro depositato dagli allevatori di bestiame, inscena una rapina nella propria banca. Bill Ross, il cassiere, cerca di bloccare i presunti fuorilegge, ma Jefferson lo uccide a tradimento. Qualche tempo dopo giunge in città un certo Stan, che dimostra di essere molto interessato a scoprire in quali circostanze è morto Ross. Jefferson gli fa credere che l’assalto alla banca e l’uccisione del cassiere sono opera della banda di Espartero ma, una volta raggiunto il covo del bandito, Stan scopre che la verità è ben diversa. Fallita un’imboscata ai danni di Jefferson, questi invia i suoi uomini a distruggere il villaggio messicano. Dopo essere riuscito a fatica a convincere Espartero della propria lealtà, Stan inizia la sua vendetta, uccidendo uno dopo l’altro gli uomini che avevano a suo tempo attuato la finta rapina alla banca. Colpendo a morte, nel duello finale, lo stesso Jefferson, riesce a recuperare l’oro rubato.
